June 3, 2020 COVID-19 Update For Registrants and Prospective Registrants of The National Conference on Wilderness Medicine – Big Sky (July 25 – 29, 2020)

We have made the very difficult but necessary decision to cancel the onsite National Conference on Wilderness Medicine scheduled for July 25 – 29, 2020 at Big Sky Resort, Montana. Your safety and well-being are paramount to us. The present status of the pandemic remains protean with many states still struggling to mitigate new infection and hospitalization rates. In consultation with our colleagues at the CDC and public health department we feel that it is not yet prudent to bring a large group of health care providers together from all parts of the country for a meeting this summer. Many of our faculty are still under some form of travel restriction by their medical center and have not been cleared to travel to a medical conference.

The National Conference on Wilderness Medicine will now be offered as a live-streamed online conference, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. It will provide 33 exciting presentations from renowned speakers, and 24 hours of continuing medical education (CME) credit, interactive question/answer sessions and one-year of ongoing access to the recorded conference sessions.

Thank you for your interest in this field of medicine, and for your understanding of the changes we’ve had to make during this pandemic. We look forward to seeing you for exciting and informative presentations and lively question/answer sessions beginning July 25th.

April 19, 2020 Update for the National Conference on Wilderness Medicine at Big Sky Resort July 25-29, 2020

We are continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic epidemiological projections and mitigation strategy, CDC and FEMA recommendations and guidelines, travel and physical distancing recommendations and restrictions, and the state, local and federal governments framework for Reopening America.

Although we are holding our May 27-31, 2020, Santa Fe wilderness medicine conference in a virtual, live stream webcast format, we are still hoping to be able to offer The National Conference on Wilderness Medicine at Big Sky, Montana July 25 – 29, 2020 on-site.

We understand that in light of COVID-19, you may be hesitant to register for an in-person event at this time, so we have updated our cancellation policy to take the stress out of planning for your continuing medical education. We are offering a Worry-Free Registration policy that includes:

    • 100% Refund Cancellation Guarantee – you may cancel your registration at any time up to 48 hours prior to the first day of the event, for any reason and we will issue a full refund of your registration fee
    • On-site Live-stream Option for registrants who would prefer to watch the conference live from their hotel room or condominium
    • Money Back Guarantee – If you are not satisfied with the conference, you can request and receive a full refund minus a $75 administrative fee to process your registration and refund
