Wilderness Medicine in the Alps combines adventure travel and exciting CME

Every September Wilderness Medicine returns to the spectacular, snow-capped Alps to circumnavigate Mont Blanc on foot.
Three countries, three cultures, three cuisines – this classic alpine circuit is a “must-do” for every mountain hiker! The trail winds through dramatic peaks, glaciers, alpine meadows, mountain lakes, fabulous wildlife, and quaint villages.
On this 11 day trek, clinicians and their guests join knowledgeable guides to hike from alpine village to village, staying in charming lodges along the way. CME presentations on topics ranging from hypothermia to mosquito-borne illness are given each evening or along the trail.
Dr. Van Tilburg shares his extensive wilderness medicine experience with presentations, discussions, & hands-on training
This past September, wilderness medicine expert Dr. Christopher Van Tilburg gave the evening CME presentations on this trek. Dr. Van Tilburg is the author of 11 books including Mountain Rescue Doctor and Search and Rescue, see his bio here. Dr. Vantilburg shares his experience: “This trip features spectacular scenery and adventure – crossing three countries. Lots of hiking, but also lots of options to take a rest day, do a shorter or longer hike, or even trail run. Great food and always a great group of people.”

This is Dr. Van Tilburg’s 10th trip as the CME speaker. “These are grand adventures with wilderness and travel medicine education from the world’s foremost experts.
